Primers

A primer is integral to the adhesion of the waterproofing system – it is what bonds the first layer to the substrate. Using the appropriate primer is vital to maximise the longevity of the roof.

With over 25 years’ experience of supplying the flat roofing market, we have developed a wide range of primers. Each has been created to suit the specific waterproofing system your contractor is using.

• First UK adhesive manufacturer to independently test products for resistance to wind uplift.
• Apollo Roofing has pledged support to NFRC Safe2Torch guidelines.

The membrane primer range consists of high-performance primers for single ply and BUR & RBM, for both self-adhered and torch-on. Each primer has been developed to improve adhesion properties, as well as allow contractors to easily adhere to Safe2Torch guidelines. Primers developed for Safe2Torch applications make following such guidelines more feasible through improved application and drying times.
